SITE WALK & ONSITE CONSULTATION
We come to you — free of charge. Our team walks your property to assess the space, discuss placement, and take measurements. Together we'll work through every detail of your design — wood species, post and beam profiles, end cut styles, roofing and shade options, stain and finish colors, and add-ons like lighting, fans, or privacy walls. By the end of the visit, we'll have a clear picture of exactly what you want to build.
STEP 2
COMPREHENSIVE PROPOSAL
After the consultation, we put together a detailed, itemized proposal covering the full scope of work, material selections, project timeline, and total investment. Every line item is clearly spelled out so you know exactly what you're getting and what it costs. We'll walk you through the proposal, answer any questions, and make sure you're completely comfortable before anything is signed.
STEP 3
ENGINEERING AND PERMITTING
Most pergola projects in Florida require a building permit, and we handle the entire process on your behalf — from preparing and submitting the application to scheduling inspections and obtaining final approval. As a licensed Certified General Contractor (CGC1536781), we know Florida's building code and high-wind load requirements inside and out. You won't have to make a single call to the building department — we take care of it all.

CONSTRUCTION

PINE OR CEDAR PERGOLA?
Pine: Pressure-treated pine is a strong, budget-friendly option that holds up well against moisture and insects, though it requires 3–4 months of drying time after installation before it can be painted or sealed.
Cedar: Cedar is a premium natural wood with a refined grain and built-in resistance to rot and insects, and unlike pine, it can be painted or sealed right away — even before installation.
FREESTANDING VS ATTACHED PERGOLA
Freestanding: A freestanding pergola stands on its own four posts anywhere in your yard, giving you the flexibility to define a separate outdoor destination — whether that's over a pool deck, fire pit, or garden seating area.
Attached: An attached pergola is anchored directly to your home, creating a seamless extension of your living space that provides shade and shelter right off your back door, patio, or lanai.
